‘No One Will Pay £15 Million For Hazard’

One time Tottenham and Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp does not believe rival clubs will be interested in paying £15 million for a struggling Hazard.

Hazard has endured an inconsistent start to the EPL 2015-16 campaign, scoring just one goal so far.

And while Redknapp believes Hazard is a “top-class player”, he does not think that he is worth mega money on current form. He told Sky Sports: “There’s a lot of talk about Real Madrid being the place he’d love to go and play.

“The most important thing for him now is to go and play well. Show us. People soon forget in football. Last year we were talking about him in Ronaldo and Messi terms.

“This year you think ‘you probably wouldn’t pay £15m-£20m for him’. That’s how quickly things can change. He is a top-class player but we want to see it out on the pitch.”

Hazard has been named in Chelsea’s starting XI for the meeting with Newcastle, his first start in the league since the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the beginning of January.
